2025 GALA IS SOLD OUT!

Join us on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025 at the Mays Family Center at the Witte Museum for our annual Oysters & Pearls Scholarship Gala! It will be a fun evening of food, friends and entertainment while raising additional scholarship funds for the students of St. Mary’s University.

The St. Mary’s Alumni Association takes great pride in supporting higher education through its scholarship fund. This academic year, the Alumni Association awarded more than $450,000 in scholarships and financial assistance to 85 students. All proceeds raised during the event will benefit student scholarships, as well as University and alumni programs.

David Kauffman (B.B.A. ’82) is a songwriter, recording artist — and filmmaker who grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. David and his wife, Missy (J.D. ’93), founded Good for the Soul Music, a record company and print publisher whose mission is to create song and story for healing and hope on stage and screen.

A high point in his career was a performance for Pope John Paul II and more than 1 million Catholic youth from around the world during World Youth Day in 1997 in Paris, France. We are excited about his commitment to the 2025 Oysters & Pearls Scholarship Gala!
