The San Antonio Rampage announced that the team would temporarily change its identity to Los Chimuelos de San Antonio in honor of the club’s first-ever Día de los Muertos game on Oct. 26, 2018. The new, temporary team identity celebrates San Antonio’s vibrant and rich Hispanic culture, while the name Chimuelos nods to the game of hockey. A chimeulo (pronounced chee-MWAY-loh) is a man who is missing teeth.
